The Magical Pine Forest
This newly created area on the land now called Sanctuary was created after the ceremony with JoJoPah. At ceremony several of our friends volunteered to take care of specific areas on the land. Our longest friend to show up for ceremony, Phil, and his daughter Arianna said they would like to care for the pine forest area.
Smiling Bear and I planted a stand of white pines 25 years ago. They grew into a pine cluster; an umbrella of green all year round, and with an open middle. Over the years the center branches became brittle and broken from no sun. Only jagged sprig branches remained. Phil and Arianna cleaned up the branches that were eye-threatening when anyone walked thru the soon to be magical pine forest.
They came and clipped and cleaned it up. And then they put up White Christmas lights and it became magical. It is quiet and peaceful when you take a moment to sit or lie on the pine needles... and look skyward. It is a secret place. I love it when it snows.
